Headline: Warwick IMBS 2017
Summary: PMMC at Warwick International Model Boat Show 2017 - Show report
Detail: As in previous years PMMC had a stand at the 2017 IMBS just outside Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Eight club members provided 33 boats to display to the public - see attached photos. In addition to the static display Stephen Griffiths and David Wilde put their lifeboats (respectivley Watson 41 and Waveney Class) on the pond alongside boats from the Lifeboat Enthusiasts' Society (LES). This was done each morning and afternoon with a detailed commentry from a member of the LES explaining the different type of boats.

Also Stephen was able to demonstrate the daughter boat of DGzRS Adolph Bempol, a German lifeboat (see photo), being launched and recovered from the stern.

One question came to mind during the show was that with 27 clubs exhibiting and 28 traders selling at discount show prices why only a couple on Phoenix members came as visitors?

My thanks to Gio, Tony (not forgetting Sheila), Stephen, Martin, Jim, Jackie and Roger for their support. David Wilde
